Bienvenido “Benny” Badillo, 69

Bienvenido “Benny” Badillo, 69, of Lancaster, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Moca, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Gerarda (Soto) and Andres Badillo, sister Lucy, brother Angel, Sr and the late Victor Badillo. He was the loving husband to Catherine (Colon) for over 47 years.

Benny grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Following graduation, he joined the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War. Benny enjoyed fixing cars and street racing. He was a talented handyman and enjoyed reading, gardening and dancing. Most often you would find him outside enjoying the company of friends who became family. Benny cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed visits face to face. He will be remembered for his loyalty, humbleness and love for all.

In addition to his wife, Catherine, Benny is survived by his children: Natal Badillo-Schusko, Benjamin Badillo and Chasity Apointe all of Lancaster and Valerie Colon of Brooklyn, NY; 14 Grandchildren: Ashley, Alycia, Samantha, Shayla, Michael, Shawn, Diamond, Cassandra, Serenity, Zachary, Jaden, Natasha, Michelle and Gabrielle; 2 Great-Grandsons: Julius and Josiah; siblings: Lucy and Angel Badillo, Sr.; 2 nieces: Christina and Desiree and a nephew, Angel Jr. He was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Badillo.

Funeral Services will be held at 3PM on Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Friends and family will be received from 2PM until the time of service and again until 4PM. Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 10:30AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
