Barbara R. Lease
Barbara R. Lease 79, of Conestoga View, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009. Born in York County, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Bittinger Rudisill. She was married to the late Dr. Stuart E. Lease.
Mrs. Lease was a life member of Grace Baptist Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Lease taught nursing at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston from 1952 until 1956. She then returned to Lancaster and continued teaching nursing arts at the school from which she graduated.
Mrs. Lease is survived by her son, Timothy J. husband of Genny Lease of Lancaster; two brothers: Henry Rudisill of Lancaster, and William Rudisill of Philadelphia; two sisters: Anne Graybill, and Sarah Martin, both of Lancaster, and four grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca L. Brasch.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday, March 9, 2009, at 12:00 pm from Grace Baptist Church, 1899 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster with Rev. Marvin Reich officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm at the church. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park. Please omit flowers.
