Barbara “Bobbie” A. Kennedy, 91

September 26, 2018

Barbara “Bobbie” A. Kennedy peacefully entered into rest on September 26, 2018 at Masonic Village at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late Robert Adsit and Thelma (Mueller) Adsit. She was the wife of the late David J Kennedy Sr. with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Bobbie obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Chestnut Hill Nursing School. She worked for the ER at Lancaster General Hospital, the infirmary at Franklin and Marshall College, and was a private duty nurse for the late Mrs. Von Hess and Mrs. Reifsnyder, as well as a demonstrator at Costco.
When her children were younger, she was active in midget football and baseball at CV for many years. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed gardening and the activities at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She affectionately touched so many people’s lives and left behind great memories. Everyone was special to her.
Surviving are her four children, David (Anne), Sandra (George), Scott (Julia), and Robert Kennedy. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Shawn, Alex, Stephen, Makenzie, Madison, Jimmy, Greg, and Gary, and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother Kenneth.
Services will be held on October 20, 2018 at 3 pm at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd located at 750 Greenfield Rd. Lancaster, PA. 17601, with Pastor Mark Russell presiding. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 to 3pm. The burial, with respect to the family, will be held privately at Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers Bobbie requested donations to be made to the music department for the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at the address above.
