I”m that that I got to talk with you more as an an adult via email than we ever did in high school. That’s been a good part of all this social media. I know your girls will miss you terribly and I’ll miss seeing your smiling face pop up on my feed.

While I agreed with my sister Bambi very irregularly, and was very unhappy with her actions with the family (specifically my mother and both grandmothers), she was still my sister. I loved her. I know that she led a very interesting and tough life, for the most part instigated and more times than not aggravated by her own actions or words. I know that none of us are angels in this thing called life. Having said that, no one deserves to pass away so young.
I have many memories, good and bad of Bambi Lynn. On Wednesday when I had found out of her passing, the only memory of her looped over and over in my head while driving to Manheim, PA was; in our old swim hole in Mt. Joy at the end of Garfield Rd, before we were allowed to jump off of the rocks (about 10-15 feet high rock formation overlooking the creek) we had to swim from one side of the shoreline to the other in the current. Bambi was the first to go…on her way back from the opposite side, she started to lose momentum and was heading downstream with the current. While we all stood there momentarily watching her, she started yelling “Don’t help me…BLUH BLUH BLUH (Typed up drowning sounds, best I can do). She yelled this about 6 times before we finally pulled her to shore. Personally, I wanted to see her succeed…
While we have all experienced the good and bad side of my sister, please let us not forget that none of us are or ever will be perfect. It is still hard for me to accept most of what Bambi has done, or was currently doing. She like myself believed in her heart that she was correct in the things she did. Did I judge her harshly on many of the things I would have done differently? Of course I did. That is me though, and that is my burden to carry from here forward.
To my sister I say this in closing – “For all of the pain and problems you had in life, I truly hope that you are happy and pain free now. I hope that for you there is an afterlife, and that you are leading the life that you had always dreamed, and that Wes and I had always hoped for you. Ashley and Megan will be loved as always, and be well taken care of. Rest now, and let the rest of us take it from here.”
Your brother, Jimmer!
