Antonia F. Olcott, 79

Antonia F. “Toni” (Zankl) Olcott, 79, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Lancaster General Hospital.  Born in Lancaster, Toni was the daughter of the late George and Antonia Reindl Zankl.  She was married to Robert S. Olcott, Jr. of Lancaster, and to the late Robert G. Newswanger, who passed away in April, 1996. 

A homemaker, Toni was also employed as a teaching assistant in the Penn Manor School District.  She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Philips Guys and Dolls Travel Club, VFW Auxiliary of Quarryville, and Homestead Village Womens Auxiliary. 

Toni looked forward to her yearly visit to Walchensee, Bavaria Germany to visit with  her cousins in Garmisch Munich. She enjoyed bowling and gardening.

In addition to her husband, Antonia is survived by her children Kelly J. Dantinne, wife of John, of Millersville, and Terri F. Brown, wife of Larry, of Millersville, and son-in-law, Tim Mylin; grandchildren, Matthew H. and Eathan R. Mylin, Taylor F. and Devon L. Brown, and Ahnastasia N. and Everett H. Albert; and greatgranddaughter, Katheryn L. Mylin.  She is also survived by stepchildren, Mark S. Olcott, husband of Susan, of Ephrata, Matthew S. Olcott, husband of Nancy J., of Lancaster, J. Andrew Olcott, husband of Joy L. of Millersville, Cynthia A. Bruckman, wife of William, of Lexington, MA; step-grandchildren, Jacob S. Olcott of Washington, DC, Melissa Ross of Bel Air, MD, Katherine J. Bruckman of Washington, DC, Dawson R. Bruckman of Lexington, MA, L. Emily Olcott of Lancaster, Rachel Y. Olcott of Millersville, and Natalie X. Olcott of Millersville; sister, Anna Mary Yeager of Danville, and several nieces and nephews.

Toni was preceded in death by her first husband, and daughters, Linda J. Mylin, and Holly M. Newswanger.

A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 7 until 9 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA.  Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, being held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA.  Interment will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 11 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Cemetery, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA.  All are invited to meet at the funeral home at 10:30AM to join in the procession to the cemetery.  Flowers will be received, or memorial contributions may be made in Toni’s memory to Hospice of Lancaster Co., P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

Friends and family are invited to join in the celebration of the life of Antonia Newswanger Olcott.  A memorial service will be held at the Pequea Brethren in Christ Church, 40 Church Road, Lancaster, PA, on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 7 PM.  Anyone with a story or a fond memory about Antonia is invited to share them with us at the service.
