Anthony G. Madonna, 85
Anthony G. “Tony” Madonna, 85, of 146 E. Clay St., Lancaster, died Wednesday at Lancaster Regional Hospital.
Born in Gasperina, Italy, Tony was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Martell Madonna.
Well known in the Lancaster area, he worked in the maintenance dept at the COHO Building, and for many other businesses in the Lancaster city area over the years.
He loved listening to Perry Como and seeing him in concert. He was a member of the Riverside Camping Assn., the Hubley Social Club, the 8th Ward Club, the 7th Ward Club, and the Rainmakers Club.
Tony was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where he served as head usher at the 11:30 Mass on Sundays.
He is survived by 3 half brothers: George F. Fiorentino of Lancaster, and Frank and Ralph Fiorentino, both of Cornwall, PA. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph and John Fiorentino, and by a sister, Marion Russo.
Friends will be received on Monday from 9:30-10:30AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11AM from St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602, with interment to follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Tony’s memory to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
