Anne Van Brookhoven, 92

Anne Van Brookhoven, 92, of Brethern Village in Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.
She was the wife of the late Lawrence Van Brookhoven, Sr., who passed away in 2004. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Mary Kuhns Smith.
Anne had been a homemaker and was a 56 year member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Lititz, where she had taught Junior Church, helped in Bible School and the Church Library. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.
Anne is survived by her daughters: Mary E. Dombach and Nanci J. Witek, both of Lititz; daughter-in-law Charlene Van Brookhoven of Lititz; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Van Brookhoven, Jr.
Friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 from 4-5PM at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 44 E. Orange St., Lititz, PA 17543, with the Funeral Service to follow at 5PM, the Revs. Nathan Fry and Ryan Taylor officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne’s memory to Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church at the above address or to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
