Ganooch! So sorry to see this in the paper, I didn’t get to know your Mom real well but she was always laughing and had a ball with us as teenagers, that was just a few months ago wasn’t it?

Sincerely,
Bob and Teri Haas.

Dear Ann Marie,
I was saddened to read of the passing of your mother and realize that this is a difficult time in your life. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for you and your brother and sister.  The obituary expressed such a beautiful tribute to your mother.  Perhaps some time in the future June and I could meet you somewhere.  Are you still teaching? Our address is 1735 Eden Road, Lancaster, PA, 17601.  e-mail rimjemechoes@gmail.com and phone 392-0560.  We are pretty much living in retirement now.  As always at any age our children in many ways still need our love, care, and support. I am now 87 and in reasonably good health.  I wish the very best to you.

Dear Ann Marie, Jimmy and Siv,
Your mom was one of the nicest ladies I have ever known.  I can still visualize her punching our meal tickets in the cafeteria line at St. Mary’s School. She always had a warm smile and friendly greeting. Thankfully, she didn’t make me return to the cafeteria to finish the liver, spinach and savory rice I just couldn’t eat.  And those days, when we were lucky enough to have her as a substitute teacher, were very special; no one could read a story like she could. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
