Anne M. Bailey, 93

Anne M. Bailey, 93, of Willow Street, PA, passed away on May 19, 2019 at Lakeside at Willow Valley. Born and raised in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of Martin and Loretta McDonald Barnack.

She graduated from Kingston Jr. College, Kingston, PA, with majors in English and Math. Anne took several classes at Manhattan College and The Metropolitan Museum of Art which prepared her to conduct her own Estate Sales. She worked in Estate Sales for five years. Anne was active in the community of Riverdale in Larchmont, NY where she participated in the Garden Club, Women’s Club and the Larchmont Historical Society. She was a 50-year member and past president of the Japanese Women’s Society which met at the Japan House in Manhattan, NY.

Anne lived all of her adult life in New York and the past 10 years in the Willow Valley Community, Willow Street, PA. She was also a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, George J. Bailey.

Anne is survived by two nieces and four nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9 AM on Friday, May 31, 2019 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603 celebrated by Rev. Lawrence Sherdel. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne’s honor to a charity of your choice. Services entrusted to Charles F.
