Anna Belstra, 102, of Millersville, died on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at her home at Crossgates. She was the wife of the late John Belstra Jr., who died on February 28, 2002.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carol Lloyd of State College, PA, and Susan Davis, wife of Harry B. Davis Jr. of Erie, PA, and also six grandsons, David Lloyd of State College, PA, John Lloyd of Lexington Park, MD, Michael Lloyd of Roswell, GA, Matthew Lloyd of San Diego, CA, James Lloyd of State College, PA, and Michael P. Davis of Meadville, PA.
Anna and John enjoyed traveling worldwide. She loved playing golf and continued playing for 35 years at Conestoga Country Club. She often spoke of playing in Spain near the Rock of Gibraltar, and in PA walking up the fairway seeing Three Mile Island. In her younger years, she did a lot of knitting, sewing, and wood carving. Anna volunteered with Girl Scouts USA, and was a Gray Lady with the American Red Cross. She was a member of Dance of the Month Club, and Cotillion Dance Club. When Anna was 86, she joined Body and Soul Fitness Studio and she accumulated 1,000 workouts by the time she was 95.
The family would like to thank PA Home Care for their wonderful help in allowing Anna to remain at home. Most of all, the family would like to thank Michael’s life partner Joe Detello for his dedicated and loving care of Anna.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Anna was a remarkable person who kindly welcomed my sister and I into her home and shared some of her memories of her childhood growing up with her brother Oscar who was our Grandfather. I only met her the one time around four years ago but it was an honor getting to meet her and know her even for that brief of a time. I am so sorry for your loss.
