Allen A. Mock, 59

Allen A. Mock, 59, of Manheim, PA, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 in Lancaster, PA.
Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late Herbert E. and Martha L. Miller Mock.
Allen had worked for the US Postal Service in Lancaster and Harrisburg for over 25 years. He loved model railroading, and as a native of Altoona, the Horseshoe Curve was one of his favorite places to visit. He also enjoyed going to the beach, was a serious Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and was a talented bowler, bowling 2 perfect games in his lifetime. He also enjoyed playing mini golf and was a serious Texas Hold’em player, winning several tournaments in which he played.
Allen is survived by his children: Brandon married to Alisha Mock of Dallastown and Lindsay married to Douglas MacMullen of Wrightsville; his granddaughter Adalynn; his former wife and mother of his children Pamela Miller; his brothers Barry, husband of Robin, of Leonardtown, MD and Raymond, husband of Carol of Jacobus; his sister, Louise Mock of Altoona, and by his nieces and nephews, Brian, Justin, Daniel, Amanda, and Kayla. He is also survived by his beloved companion, Linda Huyard of Leola.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 6-7PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with the Funeral Service to follow at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Allen’s memory to the Railroaders Memorial Museum, 130 Ninth St., Altoona, PA 16602.

Allen and I did a couple toy train displays to raise money for local charities. He was instrumental in getting a large layout to the Columbia Museum. His passing was a surprise to me. He was a good guy. My condolences to the families.

Very sorry to hear of Allen’s passing. Thinking of his family at this time. I used to work with Allen at the Lancaster P.O. We worked together alot. I enjoyed our talks. He encouraged me to follow my heart and be a stay at home mom. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Allen’s passing. We worked together at the Lancaster Postal plant. He was a hard worker. My prayers and condolenced to the family. May God give the peace and comfort that you will need at this time.
