Alexander Jupin, 86
Alexander Jupin, 86, of Hanover, and formerly of Lancaster, died Saturday evening in Hanover. Born in Brockton, PA, he was the son of the late George and Anna Karaman Jupin. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Catherine Inama Jupin and by 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
Alexander retired from Armstrong in 1985, after 38 years of service.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the Mediterranean theater, and was wounded during the Anzio invasion of Italy.
Alexander was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Hanover, PA and a former member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Lancaster. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his companion, Margaret March, of Hanover and by his nieces and nephews: Lennas Vollmer, of Tifton, Georgia, Peter Jupin of Lancaster, Rosemarie Epler of Harrisburg, Michael Jupin of Coatesville, John Jupin of Allentown, Julianne and Mary Jupin of New York City, Annie Kupetz of Mary D, PA, Tom Sidella of Port Carbon, Ron Kapo of Allentown, Eleanor Feiler of Whitehall, Irene Uhler of Whitehall, John Pavlacka of Danielsville, Leonard Pavlacka of Palmerton, and Edwin Kovach of Brockton.
Friends will be received on Friday from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the funeral service to follow at 11AM.
