Agnes M. Kinsinger, 91

August 15, 2017

Agnes M. Kinsinger, 91, died at the Masonic Village on August 15, 2017, where she resided since October of 2016. Agnes previously lived on Stevens Ave. in Lancaster.
She was the wife of the late William L. Kinsinger, who died in 1988. Born in Mahanoy City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Bachman Truskowski.
Agnes had worked as a secretary for 18 years for Buckbee Hearing Center.
She was a very active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Rosary Society, the Legion of Mary and had been involved in the church’s Boy Scout program. She was also a Friendly Visitor at Conestoga View and was a volunteer at Lancaster General Hospital information desk.
Agnes is survived by her son Dennis Kinsinger, married to Marie of Mount Joy, 5 grandchildren : Angela, Frank, Monica, Matt, and Courtney; 5 step grandchildren: William, Carrie, and Charisse, Jeff, and Joe Wertz, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Frances and William, her sister Tracey Rocklin, and her brothers, Raymond, William, and Frances.
Agnes’ outgoing, friendly personality and great sense of humor endeared her to many and she will be greatly missed by her neighbors, many extended family members, and other residents of Masonic Village. When life handed her lemons, she made lemonade.
Agnes’ family would like to thank the staff at the Masonic Village for the excellent care provided to her while she resided there. And a special loving thank you to Monica Patton for her lifelong commitment to her grandmother. In Agnes’ words “That’s it, Fort Pitt.”
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 10-11AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, with the Mass to follow at 11AM. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her memory to Mom’s House of Lancaster, 415 S. Queen St., Lancaster, PA 17608-0787.

Condolences to the Family

Denny, so sorry to learn of your Mom’s passing.  She was a great family friend of the Pegoretti’s and part of the Stevens Avenue/Marshall Street crew.  She was kind to all and was always up for a good chuckle.  When I was little, she made dresses for me for my doll – I had them for many, many years and can still picture them in my mind’s eye – she was very thoughtful in that way.  Condolences to your family – it will be a nice reunion for her in Heaven with Frankie, Billy and of course, your Dad.   ~  Joy Sharp (Pegoretti)
