Ada P. Kelly, 81
Ada P. Kelly, 81, of Lancaster, died Wednesday at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Elizabeth M. Proudley. She was the widow of Howard L. Kelly.
Ada was a teacher for the Lancaster School District teaching Junior High for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Grove City College. She is the last of her immediate family. Her joy was her two grandchildren, her church, her beloved cat, and her many friends who became her extended family. She loved cross stitch reading and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Ada was a very active member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is her grandchildren: Morgan E. Filling and W. Tyler Filling of York; her son-in- law, J. William Filling, Jr., husband of the late Patricia Filling, of York. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Patricia Filling and Susan Kelly.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 4, at Highland Presbyterian Church, 1801 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, at 11AM. Friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service. Entombment will be at Conestoga Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial Contributions may be made to Highland Presbyterian Church or to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA17603.
