Abner “Shorty” Martin, age 29, of Ephrata, died unexpectedly of natural causes, on September 7, 2017.
Abner Glenn Martin was born on September 27, 1987, in Mercersburg, PA. He grew up in Pennsylvania but then moved away and lived in Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, prior to moving back to Ephrata, PA. He was an amazing father, husband, and person. He was always helping anyone who needed help. Shorty always put others and their needs before his. When he wasn’t at work with his brother and best friend, he was helping others and spending time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking when he had some extra time.
He is survived by his wife, Danielle (Walden); 2 sons, Jaxson and Noah; his parents, Nolan & Shirley Martin, Lititz, PA; his parents-in-law, Christopher and Jennifer Harden, Overland Park, KS; brothers: Jeremy Martin (Davina), Versailles, MO; Jaylan (Tamar) Martin, Lancaster, PA; Abram (Grace) Martin, Honey Brook, PA; Zachary (Amanda) Martin, Terre Hill, PA; Gabriel (Jazlyn) Martin, Ephrata, PA; Emanuel (Justina) Martin, Ephrata, PA; Rafael (Dominique) Anzaldua, Dallas, TX; sisters: Tancy Zook (Joe), Poteauu, OK; Tiana Stoltzfus (Steve, Millbrook, AL; Tabeal Martin, Lititz, PA; sister-in-law, Michelle Walden, Overland Park, KS; in addition Shorty is survived by 20 nieces and nephews and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8PM, Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the funeral home. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11AM, prior to the funeral service.
