Zelma L. Garvey, 94

Zelma L. Garvey, 94, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Brethren Village. Born in Ashland, KY, she was the daughter of the late Cecil E. and Virginia A. Brickey Fannin.
Zelma had been a homemaker and was a talented seamstress and a passionate reader. She was a wonderful mother who showed her total love and dedication to her family and was a special grandmother who adored her grandchildren.
Zelma was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children: Lee G. married to Louis Farina of Lancaster, and Joe D. married to Marie Garvey of Enola, PA; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Virginia A. Rose of Bolivia, NC, Georgia L. Watson of Ashland, KY and Freda Anderson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and her brother Cecil E. Fannin, Jr. of Ashland, KY. . She was predeceased by her husband Joseph V. Garvey who passed away in 1991 and a sister Mary Alice Clemmons.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Zelma’s memory to Brethren Village Endowment Fund, Attn Development Office, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606-5093 or to the Masonic Village Hospice of Elizabethtown, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown 17022.
