William H. Watts, 80
William H. Watts, 80, of 401 Eden Rd., and formerly of 8 Landis Ave., died Friday evening, September 8, 2006, at Lancaster Regional Medical Center.
He was the husband of Betty J. Eshleman Watts, with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage this past January 7th. Born in Philadelphia, William was the son of the late William H. ,Sr. and Margarite Coyle Watts.
An employee of the City of Lancaster, William worked as a filter plant operator with the City Water Works for 29 years, retiring in 1991.
He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed playing the guitar, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters:Deborah A. married to Skip Lefley of Ephrata, Katherine E. married to Dennis Vandermark of Lebanon, and Mary L. married to Joseph Fake of Lebanon; 1 son, Michael W. Watts of Lancaster; and by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz from 12Noon to 1PM, with the funeral service to follow at 1PM. Interment in the New Providence Mennonite Cemetery. Due to allergic conditions, the family respectfully requests that no flowers be sent, with contributions made in William’s memory to the American Diabetes Assn., 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 202, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
