Walter J. Gebhard, 91

Walter J. Gebhard, 91, of Conestoga View, Lancaster, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016. He was born in Lancaster, PA and was the son of the late Harry and Ada Mae Gebhard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Gebhard in 2002.
Walter began his career with the National Ball Bearings Company. He retired as an installer for Keener Installation after 30 years.
Walter served his Country with the US Navy.

He enjoyed bowling and golfing in his free time.

He is survived by two sons, George Gebhard, of East Petersburg, Harry Gebhard of Lancaster, eight grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne and Dan Gebhard.

Funeral Services will be Celebrated on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602. A viewing will be held from 10-11AM. Interment with Military Honors will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.

Uncle Skin you are now in Heaven with Aunt Doris, we will miss you as you have brought many years of fun & laughter into our family. The parties , wedding receptions , family reunions , cookouts & just the times Maddie & I were visiting with Aunt Betz, thats one thing Maddie would always do call you when we were there & tell you “Uncle Skin we are at Aunt Betz’s can you come over” and you would, were always fun with you. Now your flying high with all the other Angels that the Lord has taken home from our family. I’m sure in some way that you will let us know that you are watching over us. We love you Uncle Skin & we will cherish all the beautiful memories that you have given us. We love you…..XOXOXOX.
