Theresa A. “Terri” Vocatura, 61

October 03, 2014

Theresa A. “Terri” Vocatura, 61, died with her loving husband James by her side at their Lancaster, PA, home on Friday, October 3, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Hildeguard Franz Faiello. Terri and Jim were married for 27 years.

A graduate of New Dorp High School on Staten Island, Terri worked as an executive secretary for the Bank of New York Mellon. Terri and Jim moved from Staten Island to Lancaster four years ago. She was a member of St. John Nuemann Catholic Church in Lancaster and a former member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church on Staten Island.

Terri absolutely loved the Beatles and collected much of their memoriabilia. She enjoyed reading James Patterson and Janet Evanovich novels. Terri adored her great-nieces and great-nephews, and her friends in Lancaster and Staten Island were very close to her heart.

In addition to Jim, Terri is survived by her sister Lucy, wife of Larry Jacobson of State College, PA, and their son Christopher Cerchio, husband of Maria; her sister-in-laws JoAnne, wife of Ivan Janovsky and Kathy, wife of Jay Carrescia, both of Staten Island; and 5 nieces, 5 nephews and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

A viewing will be held 1-3 pm, followed by a 3 pm wake with Deacon Mike Oles officiating, on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
