Rosemary Z. Greiner, 68, of Millersville passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at her home. Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Florence (Fitzgerald) Ziegler.
Rosemary was a 1965 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and worked at Family Practice Associates and HealthGuard of Lancaster. She worked for several years and retired from the advancement office at Lancaster Catholic High School. She was a hard worker and raised her two children as a single mother. Rosemary was a good friend to many and will be remembered by her laugh, love of life, friendship and ability to gather people together and remain close to her family and friends. She was a devout catholic and was very active with the reunion committee at LCHS and enjoyed travel, spending time at the beach, gardening and tending to her flowers, and was a great caregiver to her late mother Florence. Her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Rosemary was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Lancaster.
She is survived by her children Andrew Greiner husband of Kathleen Sacco of Pittsburgh, PA and Anne wife of Steven Manning of Mount Joy, PA; three grandchildren Samantha and Mia Greiner and Seth Manning; two brothers Bernard Ziegler husband of Jane and James Ziegler husband of Ellie both of Lancaster, PA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosemary was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Ziegler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11AM from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Interment will be held in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. An evening viewing will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 6-8pm from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602 and from 9-10AM on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lancaster Catholic High School, 650 Juliette Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601 in her memory.

To: Rosemary’s Family
From : Cyndia and George Kopp
My heart is broken again…Rosemary was a good friend of my mothers who lived two doors down from her at Oak Knoll Circle.  I had met Rosemary when I visited my mother and after she passed away I became closer to Rosemary and was looking so forward to becoming even closer when we moved into my mother’s home.  I will miss her greatly as she was our little mayor of the neighborhood.  Say hi to Kitty for us.

Bernie, Jim, Anne and Andrew, my sincere condolences to you and your families.  She will be so missed.  She was one of my best friends years ago at PP&L. We had many good times and a lot of laughs.  She was always up for anything.  I kept saying I have to get in touch with her again and never did.  Shame on me.  May God bless her and her family.

My sincere condolences and prayers for your family. I worked with Rosemary many years ago at HealthGuard and always found her ready to provide a good laugh. She always had a smile on her face and loved afternoons at work when we would brew a pot of coffee with cinnamon added. Had it all to ourselves.
Fondly, Carol Diehl

Our condolences and prayers for your, Andy and Anne, and your families. It was an honor to know and work with your mother Rosemary, at church and at school functions. It seemed we were crossing paths as our son Sam and daugther Karen were growing up, children involved in the same activities. Please accept our sympathies in her sudden passing, much too young to leave this world.
Yours, Barbara and Jere Keen

Dearest Children,  Please accept my deepest sympathy. I chaired the Lancaster Catholic Phonathon for 17 years & couldn’t have done it without Rosemary –she was with me all the way & did everything behing the scenes that no one ever saw.  She loved LCHS the way I did & we truly were a team.  She also helped me set up the Schreiber Pediatric Phonathon,  which will be in it’s third year this May.   She was a wonderful person & spoke often about her children & grandchildren who she loved very much.    She is in a better place but much too soon.  I loved Rosemary & will pray for her & all of you.  I’m sure this is a terrible loss.  Love, Mary Anne Aichele

I was saddened to hear of the passing of our cousin Rosemary today. She was a wonderful person, so very kind and good-hearted-the very best of cousins!
I still recall the fun and enjoyment we had with Rosemary and her family when Mary Kay, Jeanne, Tom and I visited Uncle Bernie and Aunt Flossie as children. She was always the best at organising the games and seeing that everyone was enjoying the day.
Our thoughts and fond memories are with Rosemary today.  Please extend our condolences to all of the many family members  and friends of Rosemary. She was a very good person and are so fortunate to have known her.
Kind regards, Chuck Ziegler

Anne, Andy, and your Families –
I am truly sorry for the loss of your Mother.  Rosemary was such a special part of my life, and she kept the spark going when our “gang” was together.  She will be remembered for the fun times, many laughs, energy, and love of life.  She was so very proud of her family and loved her grandchildren so much.  I am blessed to have had her in my life.  She always had a kind word for us when we spent time together and loved being together, especially at the beach.  There will be a big hole in our “gang” when we get together but she will forever be in our hearts.  We loved her like a sister and I will pray for all of you and for Rosemary, always.  She is now in Heaven with her Lord and Savior!  God Bless all of you.  Love, Pat Coomes

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, she will not be forgotten. Maureen Baer

I am so sad that I have lost my swim partner . She made me go into the water with her on our trips to the beach in Cape May over the years if only for a few minutes. We would laugh and enjoy those few minutes together and we would wave to the rest of the glamour girls that would not come in with us . Many times we would be dunked by a wave and would just giggle like kids as we resurfaced. My only saving grace is that now when I am at the beach and watching the waves and see dauphins I will remember TWO special people in my life that I have lost !!!!   Elaine Campbell ( Rosch )
