Robert A. “Bobby” Ference III, 29, of New Holland, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Chester County.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of Donna Sweeney and her husband Russell of New Holland, and Robert Ference, Jr. and his wife Regina of Honey Brook.
Bobby loved his career as a barber. He worked in Keem’s Barber Shop, formerly “Heads Up” in New Holland for 5 years.
Bobby’s daughter Jocelynn was the love of his life. He was an excellent father and loyal friend with a big heart. He will be missed by those whose lives he touched.
He occasionally attended Petra Christian Fellowship and was an avid Eagles fan. He cherished the times fishing with his dad and the rest of his family. He also enjoyed excursions to the lake and the beach with his mom and family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Jocelynn Marie-Leona Ference of New Holland and her mother, Natalie Wood of Leola; his siblings Heather Leigey and her husband Mark of Holtwood, Russey Ference and his wife Jamie of Honey Brook, Mandi Ference of Levittown, and Matthew Ference of Honey Brook; maternal grandmother Leona Mahoney of Lancaster; aunts Dawn Bunsick and her husband Michael and Michelle Redden and her husband Craig; uncles Mickey and Kevin Ference and C.J. Silvestri; great aunts Jean Masters, Ruthie Kimbal, Agnes Masters, and Ginger Iglesis; a great uncle, Richie Masters; and 5 nieces and nephews: Brandon, Sarah, Abby, Cambrie, and Braelynn. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Mahoney, and his paternal grandparents, Robert Ference, Sr. and Sally Silvestri.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, September 19, 2014 at Petra Christian Fellowship, 565 Airport Rd, New Holland, PA 17557 with Pastors Lester and Erma Zimmerman and Titus Kauffman officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9 to 11 prior to the service. Burial will be private.

Bobby was my big cousin on my father cj Silverstri side a great friend a great cousin and a good person when you needed a laugh or smile I miss him so much feels like just yesterday he was visiting me and my family my prayers go out to all my family that support him love you rip bobby

Even though I didn’t know Bobby much we hung out a few times and rode dirt bikes and four wheelers together he made a impact on me with his sense of humor and just his out look on life he was a great man dad and friend who will be greatly missed RIP Bobby

Bobby was a good friend to my fiance and I. He was a loving father, his world was centered around Jocelynn”s happiness. More men should lead by his example. Bobby will be missed by many and his smile will forever live in our hearts. My condolences to his family and his beautiful daughter. May God give you comfort in your time of need. I was deeply sadded by the news of Bobby’s death. He was an amazing dad. The stories he share about his daughter where priceless. I’m thankful for having the pleasure of meeting him . My thoughts and prayers are with yall.

I didn’t get to know bobby as well as some people, he recently started cutting my hair at Keems Barber shop, but even in that small amount of time he made a big impression on me. He was always smiling and happy during my times at the shop. You are Missed Bobby. We will never forget you.

I love you my Son! I will miss you, your smiling face, our together time, out frequent talks, your crazy (like mine) sense of humor, and everything about you every day until we meet again! I am so glad and grateful we got to spend a lot of quality time together this past summer while you were staying with us along with with Matthew and Mandi too! A huge piece of me went with you but I will carry on in your honor for your brothers and sisters and for Jocelynn. As I’m sure you know, just like at her birth, I’ve got your back. Anytime there is an event at school or where ever with Dad’s I’ll be there. When she’s old enough for boyfriends I’ll be checking up on them just like you would! No one will ever hurt her as long as I’m breathing, I promise you that. There are so many things I could say but space is limited, I’ll be talking to you a lot I’m sure. I’ve already seen what I believe to be signs from you and I’ll always be on the lookout for more! Until we meet again just know that I tried to be the best Dad I could be and I’m sorry I couldn’t do more for you but no matter what I loved you with every fiber of my being and soul and nothing will be the same without you!
