Ray J. French II, 60

Ray J. French II, 60, of Lebanon, formerly of New Castle, DE, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Lebanon VA Hospital. He was the son of the late Ray French and Nettie Hawkins. He was married to Charlene (Heisler) French for 40 years.

Ray was a graduate of Concord High School in New Castle, DE and attended Millersville University. He proudly served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked in the fabricated metal industry, working at Fabral of Lancaster for over 25 years. His last employment was as VP of Purchasing for Everlast Roofing of Lebanon. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 sons: Ray French III of Bethlehem, PA, Paul B. French, husband of Maureen of Atglen, PA and David French, husband of Lesley, of Carlisle, PA; Three grandchildren: Maddie, Molly and Carson.

A Memorial Service will be at 2PM on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Lebanon VA Hospital Chapel, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA with military honors being accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lebanon VA, Attn: Voluntary Services mail code 10A, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042, memo: to Hospice in memory of Ray J. We lost track of Ray and your family after his employment with Everlast Roofing.  We were completely taken by suprise to find out about Ray’s passing.

I an so sorry to hear of the passing of Ray, I did business with Ray at Fabral, VicWest and Everlast, he was tough but fair and I considered him a friend and we did play some golf together and he always beat me. I lost track of Ray after he left Everlast, he was a good man. My thoughts and prayers go out to Charlene and her family.
