Phyllis M. Stopper, 91
Phyllis M. Stopper, 91, of Lancaster, passed away, Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Brethren Village Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Annunciata (Gadino) Cuzzuculi.
Phyllis was a homemaker who enjoyed music. She was a part of the local trio the ” Savern Sisters”. The trio had a radio show on WGAL and sang in many USO shows during WWII.
Phyllis is survived by 2 daughters; Lorraine M. Beck wife of Thomas A. of Landisville, and Diane L. Ross of Lancaster. 3 grandchildren; John W. Beck, Alex L. and Anne M. Ross, and a sister, Lenora A. McManus wife of James Jr.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna M Edwards, and four brothers, Paul Severino, Fred Severino, Frank Severino and John Cuzzuculi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 501 E. Orange St. Lancaster 17602 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Phyllis’ memory may be made to Brethren Village Endowment Fund, Attn: Development office, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606. Dear Lorraine and Diane,
I was sad to read of your Mother’s passing. I will always remember her for her delicious Spatini mearballs! I am sorry that I cannot attend the services, but please know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers.
