Paula M. Forberger, 87

Paula M. Forberger, 87, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community in Manheim.
She was the wife of the late Robert G. Forberger, who passed away in 1993. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Frank X. and Anna Krimmel Schaller.

Paula had been a homemaker and had also worked as a secretary at Armstrong World Industries from 1946 to 1953.

Paula was a 1946 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she had been a member of the Women’s Club, and volunteered at the school cafeteria and library. Paula had also been a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was involved in the church choir. She enjoyed reading and spending time tending to her yard.

Paula is survived by her sons: Steven C. married to Catherine Forberger, and Douglas R. married to Nancy Forberger, both of Lancaster; her 3 grandchildren Brian, Eric, and Jamie, her 4 great grandchildren, her sister Helen married to Robert Wiegand of Lancaster, her brother Francis X. Jr married to Marianne Schaller of Lancaster, and by her numerous nieces and nephews. Paula was preceded in death by her siblings: Rosemary Haldeman, Anna Lauer, Dorothy Bradley, Mildred Bentley, Regina O’Connor, Arlene Forberger, Julianna Schaller and Dr. James A. Schaller.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA. Interment to follow in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Paula’s memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 119 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17602.
