Paul E. Poulin, 61

November 22, 2015

Paul E. Poulin, 61, of Millersville, PA. Born December 17, 1953 in Hartford, CT. A bright star light has been laid to rest much much too soon. On November 22, 2015, Paul Poulin full of life right to the end was called to his Heavenly home to be with his Heavenly Father.
Right from his childhood, his fascination for cars was uncanny. At age three, he could name all of the different makes & models of cars. Cars were and always remained his biggest hobby.
Growing up he displayed the old fashion work ethic, working his newspaper route, mowing lawns, shoveling snow, working in Perry Root-s Shell Gas Station garage pumping gas.
He graduated from East Catholic High in Manchester, CT. Paul attended the University Of Santa FE New Mexico and the University of Maryland.
His career was spent working in retail. He started out at Hechingers collecting shopping carts, working his way up to store manager. He then worked as a District Manager for Home Depot. He worked as a District Manager for Big Lots. The last year of his life was spent working hand and hand with his sons, Paul and Chris, helping people relocate from fires, and witnessing to people about the change that God has brought to his life.
Whatever Paul tackled he did it with grit and determination and gave it 100%. He was a devoted son, looking out for his mom & dad. Loved and cherished both of his sons, his humorous smile was his calling card. Loved and cared for his cat.
In the spring, he loved to work outdoors, in the summer a trip to the beach when possible and in the winter skiing, watching TV and sitting by his roaring fireplace. Sports – watching a good football game and as a child swimming.
He always managed to work out any situation that life presented to him.
Paul was survived by his wife, Rebecca, son, Paul Poulin and wife, Kristy, and son, Chris Poulin, his mother and Father, Antoineete and George Poulin, his brother, Jim Poulin, two nephews, Timothy and Mathew Poulin, several aunts, uncles and cousins located in CT, MA, FL, TX.
A Viewing will be held from 5-7 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at United Pentecostal Church of Lancaster, 160 School House Road, Lancaster, PA 17603. A Funeral Service will be at 1:30 PM on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the church. Interment will be at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.

Condolences to the Family

March 25, 2017

My deepest sympathy to the family of Paul.  Your beautiful words described him so well. I knew him as a coworker at HECHINGER and found him to be a joyful person. I pray he is with Our Lord in heaven and will watch over his family until you are all together again. I believe in God’s plan for each of us, but it seems He took Paul too soon. God bless and be with you during this sorrowful time. I want to share just one memory that stands out from long ago. Paul was always so very proud of his beautiful wife and children.  He could be such a clown at the most serious times, and yet, when it came to his family, he always seemed so dedicated and proud.
With deepest sympathy,
Meg Grogan

I am so sorry to read of the passing of Paul, we knew each other when we were still in high school, we both worked at Buckly and Camps in Glastonbury. We got to be good friends,we both loved cars, he had a 1964 Chevy impala that he wanted me to help him change the motor, I had a 1957 Chevy that I was always doing something to. So I asked him as long as it was ok with his parents I would help him. We went and got he new engine and did it in his drive way. I can’t tell you how much fun we had ,he was so happy he was going to have a different engine in that car. I just remember how much we were laughing all the time. Then when he was going to enter The University of Maryland we drove down together in his dad’s Oldsmobile . I lost touch with him after that, I got drafted into the service and that was that. But when I think of him I remember the fun times an d he wonderful scent of humor. My prayers and thoughts are with you now.    Merrill Bevan

Brother George Poulin & Family: I am proud to have worked for you for many years, building and maintaining the Machinists Union.  I know you gave many hours, and years, to that worthy effort.  You managed to maintain strong family bonds at the same time, a testament to the character of the whole family.  As you know, I lost two sons.  It is a loss no parent should ever have to endure.  I am so sorry for your loss.  From the posted comments, your son seems to have been an impressive, warm-hearted man.  Peace to you & yours. My memory of Paul is from long ago when he was married to his first wife and had two sons-I recall meeting him the last time with his dad George at a wedding in Virginia. I found him to be an intelligent man and quite interested in my career as a trial attorney. He was engaging and always quite affable and nice. He is now in my rear view big time.

Paul, I have thought of you often and will remember you always. You did so much for me in my professional career, and without realizing it, for my personal life as well. I will always be grateful for the respect you showed, and the support you offered, to those of us who strongly believed in Family first. Rest in Peace , friend.

I am sorry for your loss.
I did not know him for an extremly long period of time, but in the time I did know him, I came to truly appreciate Paul. Even as I prayed for, and with him, his support and enthusaism to reach souls for Jesus touched my heart. I am very sorry that he has left us so quickly for heaven. However, I am persuaded that he now rests in the arms of Jesus, and that is a very good place to be.
A friend and brother in Christ, Scott Richardson

Paul….there truly aren’t any words.  You and I worked closely together for a few years and we shared soooo many laughs. Regardless of the situation, you always had a smile on your face.  I’m saddened that your time was cut short but your memory will long live on.  God bless you friend!
