Patricia Howell Foster, 87

Patricia Howell Foster, formerly of Fairport, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 in Lititz, PA. Born February 4, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leon DuBois Howell and Gladys Powell Howell.

“Pat” was a graduate of Sewanhaka High School and the Scudder Secretarial School. Following that, she worked for Ladies’ Home Journal and McMillan Publishing. Pat was married for nearly 62 years to the late Dr. Glen E. Foster, Jr., with whom she raised three children.

A resident of Fairport for over 50 years, Patricia was the registrar and a member of the board of directors of the Bertha Agor Memorial Nursery School. She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairport and was also active in the local Historical Society for many years.

Patricia is survived by her brother, Bruce Howell, and his wife Judith of Punta Gorda, FL; two sons: Scott and his wife Oksana of Northport, NY and Bruce and his wife Robin of Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Melissa Keene, and her husband Richard of Lititz, PA; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Glen, Patricia was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Adam and Jeremy Foster.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Moravian Manor, 300 W. Lemon Street, Lititz, PA 17543.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patricia’s name to Moravian Manor at the address above (www.moravianmanor.org) or the Bertha Agor Memorial Nursery School at 26 E. Church Street, Fairport, NY 14450 (www.bamns.org).
