Your mom was my hero. She touched our lives with her independent spirt, compassion for others, strength, determination, sense of humor and love of life. She was so proud of all of you. You all did an amazing job of caring for her these last several months, putting your lives on hold and putting her first. You’ll find in time this will give you comfort. I offer my deepest sympathy to her loving family. I miss her to my friend, confidant, and coworker.

Dear Ellen, Brian, and Kevin—
I am so sad to learn of your mother’s untimely death. She was always smiling and gracious when I knew her in Salt Lake City. I remember coming to your home to stay with Ellen and Brian the night that Kevin was born. As I rushed over to your house, your mother rushed out saying that the baby was coming very quickly. I think that Kevin was born less than an hour later! May your hearts be filled with love and peace in this time of loss. My love, thoughts, and prayers are with you. Frances Harris in Salt Lake City
