Michael A. Dukeman, 66

Michael A. Dukeman, 66, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Virginia Taylor and the late James E. Dukeman, Sr. Michael was the husband of Betty Ann Dukeman.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, Michael served during the Vietnam War. He was a plumber at R&J Reynolds. He was an active member of the VFW Post 1690. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and shuffleboard.

In addition to his wife, Betty, and his mother, Virginia, Michael is survived by 6 children: Robert Dukeman, Lawrence Dukeman, Michelle Dukeman, Selena Edgell, Jessica Edgell and Kirk Edgell; 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, James E. Dukeman, Jr.; and 2 sisters: Sherry Ressler, wife of Marlin, and Frances Howell, wife of Charles.

Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Miller.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA 17551. A viewing will be from 11-1 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VFW, 343 New Dorwart St., Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the Susquehanna Association for the Blind, 244 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
