Maureen Weaver Schweich, 80

Maureen Weaver Schweich, 80, of East Petersburg, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2015, at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. She and her husband, Lee W. Schweich celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on February 27th.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Reuben H. and Sara Nissley Weaver. She was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing cards, quilting, cross stitch and other crafts. She was also an active member of Guys and Dolls.
In addition to her husband Lee, Maureen’s family includes 5 children, Lee Schweich, Jr., Highspire, PA, Cynthia Snyder, Lancaster, Daniel Schweich, MD, husband of Phyllis of Pensacola, FL, Kathleen Kabool, wife of Philip of British Columbia, Canada, Timothy Schweich, husband of Ruchita of Manassas, VA, 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 1 sister, Mary Stone, Lancaster, and 1 sister-in-law, Mary Rose Christoffel, wife of Frank of Lititz. Her siblings, Vincent, Hen, Helen, James, and Jere preceded her in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial from St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Peter I. Hahn Celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass. Interment to follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Anne’s Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Ave., Columbia, PA 17512-9715.
