Mary E. Swarm, 76
Mary E. Swarm, 76, of Lancaster, passed away, Tuesday, December, 7, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lyndhurst, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Jennie (DiPiazza) Vizzi. Mary was the wife of the late Harold H. Swarm who died June 8, 2007.
Mary graduated from Hood College in 1956, and then received her Masters from Millersville University. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and Lancaster Town Club. Mary enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by four children; Dr. Gail Swarm wife of Brian Miluk of Lewisburg, WV, Paul Swarm husband of Angela of Lancaster, Christopher Swarm husband of Susanne of Naperville, Il, and Gina Harshman wife of Chris of Ellicott City, MD, seven grandchildren, a brother Paul Vizzi of NJ, and Domenica Williams of CA.
A Christian Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Acri as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home before the service from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Interment will be private. I am sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I will always remember her from Girl Scouts. I used to see her walking in the mornings with Mrs. Harrington before she became sick. Recently, I would see her at Mrs. Hermann’s where she played Bridge. Please take care!
