Mark C. Martin, 90

Mark C. Martin, 90, of Lititz, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Born in Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Carpenter) Martin. Mark was the husband of Dorothy E. (Redcay) Martin, who died in 1982.
Mark was a self-employed painting contractor for over 60 years. He was a long-time member of Calvary Church. He enjoyed reading and watching baseball, but more than anything, loved his family.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mark is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Paul Westlund and 9 siblings.
Funeral Services will be held for Mark, at 11AM, Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM prior to the service. Mark will be laid to rest with his wife, Dorothy, at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster. LaVonne and family,  How fortunate to have had your father all these years.  How comforting to know he’s spiritually alive for eternity.  Praying the Lord will minister His grace to you during this time of adjusting to his home-going. Blessings, Linda & Bob Black

We didn’t know your Dad but we do know the pain of saying “good-bye” to our own Dads’.  It really is a wierd feeling when the last parent is gone.  We are so grateful that he knew and loved the Lord!  Hugs and prayers to you and your family, Lavonne!

LaVonne and the Martin Family,  I send my sympathy in the passing of your father. May God grant you comfort and peace
at this time.  How blessed you were to have him support your mission work.  He was always kind and caring each time that I
met him or talked to him on the phone.  My sister Mary Ellen sends her sympathy to your sister Dawn also.
With love, Ruth Parker

Dear Lavonne, Sorry to hear of your father’s passing and so glad that you were able to spend the last three years with him.  Did not know your mom passed away so many years ago.  I will be praying today as there is probably a wake and then tomorrow the funeral.  Love you, Gail and Cecil Deisch
