Marian J. Lutz Warfel, 86

Marian J. Lutz Warfel, 86, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at her residence.
She was the wife of Benjamin H. Warfel, with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage this past September 17th. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin S. and Grace I. Miley Lutz
Marian graduated in 1948 from Lititz High School. She went on to work for 29 years as a teller and customer representative at the former Lititz Springs National Bank and Farmers Bank and Trust Co. in Lancaster. She retired from Farmers First Bank in Lititz in 1995.
She was a life member of the Lititz Moravian Church, where she served as a choir member and Sunday school teacher for several years.
Marian volunteered as a piano player in several nursing homes, being known as the “Piano Lady”, for over 30 years. She volunteered as a reading tutor at the Brecht School as well.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Gregory B. Warfel of Marietta and by her daughter, Jane S. Zeswitz, wife of Mark H. of Lancaster; her 3 grandchildren: Hannah Mackay wife of Andrew, and Ellen and Daniel Zeswitz and her great grandchildren: Delaney and Finley Mackay. She is also survived by her brother, Benjamin V. Lutz of Palm Springs, CA. One sister, Thelma Keath wife of John Keath, preceded her in death.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, PA from 2-3PM in the Eshbach Parlor, with the Memorial Service to follow at 3PM.
