Lynda G. Hicks, 74

Lynda G. Hicks, 74, of Brethren Village, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 after a brief illness. Lynda was the daughter of the late Richard F. Hicks and Grace M. Nyce.
Born in Easton, PA, Lynda graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education. She taught Physical Education at the Junior and High School level and then became a wonderful homemaker. Later on, she also worked for J.C. Penney, Strawbridge and Clothier, Royer-Greaves School for the Blind and QVC.
As a teenager, she participated in gymnastics and was on the High School varsity basketball team. In her adult life she loved to play tennis and dance. She enjoyed collecting angels, knitting, putting together puzzles and watching tennis and golf. She was particularly interested in learning about the Judeo-Christian faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Desiree A. Antonacci, wife of Michael W. Bainhauer, Lititz, PA and her grandson, Kyle W. Bainhauer. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra L. Nolen, Souderton, PA, and a brother, Charles “Skip” Nyce, Jr., Willow Springs, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by a son, Damian J. Antonacci.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lynda’s Memorial Service at Trinity United Church of Christ, 2340 State Street, East Petersburg, PA, on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Christopher M. Rankin officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
