Louis S. Sparacino, 80

Louis S. Sparacino, 80 of 22 Lepore Dr., and formerly of Kings Park, NY and Spring Hill, Fla., passed away on Friday, May 1, 2009.

He was the husband of the late Eunice Sanderson Sparacino, who passed away in 2004. Born in Jamaica, NY, he was the son of the late Philip and Mary Cassiappo Sparacino.

Louis was the co-founder of Sampson Machine in Hauppauge, NY until his retirement.

He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Denver.

Louis loved to golf, and was a member of the Sr. Mens Club at Overlook Golf Course. He also enjoyed bowling, competing in leagues at Rocky Springs Lanes. He enjoyed his life very much and lived it to the fullest.

A US army veteran, Louis served during the Korean War as a Private First Class.

He is survived by his children: Carol L. married to Ted Force of Lancaster, Diane J. married to Edward Pesapane of Hauppauge NY, Louis Catalli, and Lisa M. married to Robert Gorman of Nazareth, PA; his 13 grandchildren; his 2 sisters Frances Taniey of Forest Hills, NY and Rosalie Ventimiglia of Detroit, MI, and his brother Charles Sparacino of Commack, NY. He is also survived by his companion, Judy High.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-9PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, and again on Wednesday at Peace United Church Of Christ, 37 East Swartzville Rd., Denver, PA from 1230-130PM, with the funeral service to follow at 130PM, the Rev. William E. Hoch officiating. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Louis’ memory to the American Lung Assn., 101 Good Dr., Suite 1, Lancaster, PA 17603. We are so sorry to here that Lou has not been able to go on for another 20 or 30 years because I’m sure that he had plenty of interests and activities and family to keep him busy.
