Loretta S. Risse, 92

Loretta S. Risse, 92, of Lancaster, went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2006.

Born in Columbia, PA she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Maryanne Schickling Smith.  She was married to John H. Risse for sixty-six years.  She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and the Sacred Heart Hospitality Club.  She enjoyed card clubs with her close friends for over fifty years.  A homemaker, she volunteered at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital, was an enthusiastic traveler, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her husband are daughters, Rosemary wife of Gerard Wiegand of Willow Street; Kathleen M. wife of C. William Shaffer of New Providence; Loretta E. wife of Douglas Breen of MD; Patricia Ann wife of Dr. Robert Scott of Unionville; a son, John H. Risse III married to Diane of AL; seventeen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Bailey of VA; and Patricia Kennedy of Lancaster.

The funeral service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA on Monday at 11AM.  Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10AM until the time of service.
