LeRoy B. Brian, 81

LeRoy B. Brian, 81, of Lancaster, passed away at Evergreen Estates, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Born in Witmer, LeRoy was the son of the late George W. and Emma (Bare) Brian. He was the husband of Grace Ann (Miller) Brian, who preceded him in death in 1968. He later married Elsie L. (Sensenderfer) who also preceded him in death.
LeRoy was a graduate of East Lampeter High School and went on to serve in the US Navy during peace time. Following his honorable discharge, he went on to work as a fuel oil burner technician and retired from J. Brame Witmer/Sico Co. after 25 years of service. He also served as an instructor for PPA Heating School in Highspire, PA. LeRoy was a member of Community United Methodist Church, where he served as trustee.
LeRoy is survived by his son, Dale Brian, husband of Allyson, of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren: Joshua, Jeremy Jacob, and Rebecca Brian, all of Lancaster; a very special niece, Lorraine Killheffer, of Lancaster; 3 sisters: Anna Markert, of Lancaster; Grace Farmer, of St. Petersburg, FL; and Helen Leaman, of Lancaster; 2 Brothers: Ivan Brian, husband of Joanne and Raymond Brian, husband of Naomi, both of Lancaster. In addition to his wives, LeRoy was preceded in death by his brothers, Jay and Robert Brian and sisters, Ruth Laukhuff and Arlene Tshudy.
Funeral Services for LeRoy will be held at 11AM, on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at the Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers, 2555 Horseshoe Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601. A viewing will be held at the church from 10-11AM. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hospice, 101 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603,

Dale,
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family, on the passing of your father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. My parents and I will never forget him. He was a terrific neighbor. I’ll always be grategul to him for allowing me to park my new car in his garage, in exchange for mowing his lawn and shoveling snow when it needed done. Unfortunately we cannot attend the sevice on Wednesday, but you and your family remain in our hearts.

So sorry to hear of Leroy’s passing, he was a true friend. Leroy was a big help to me and the many students he helped train at the PPA Training Center. I enjoyed our numerous breakfast chats at Alice’s. Will miss him and my deepest sympathy and condolences to Dale and the family.
Unfortunately I cannot be in attendance on Wednesday.

LeRoy has been such a part of our lives since I was very young and he married my Aunt Elsie. He was so kind and generous and supportive and he will be so missed. My most sincere condolences to Dale, Allyson and the grandchildren. I am so sorry for your loss. I wish all of his family many happy memories that will forever keep him close to their hearts.

So sorry to hear that another one of my dear uncles has passed away. Although I didn’t get to see him often, I looked forward to my yearly trips to PA and our trips out to the casino. Fond memories of a day spent with the uncles and aunts Our family is getting smaller and smaller all the time. Condolences to the rest of the family.
