I was so saddened to hear from my son Eric Goldman about the passing of Leonard yesterday. Leonard had been my father-in-law for 20 years ,and, in fact, was the only father-in-law I have ever had. He always had an easy-going way about him, was quiet most of the time, but when he had a point to make,he certainly knew how to make it. He was a great father-in-law on many levels…. mostly because he never gave you a hard time or made anything seem uncomfortable. I admired this easy-going way about him and still strive to achieve that even today. I left the baseball talks to him and Eric, but we both enjoyed movies and often talked about them… His passing has left a void in the world, the last of the Solodky brothers( & sisters), really the end of a Lancaster dynasty.  I know he will be remembered in the mind and heart of all of us who had the fortune to know him.
With love,
Peter M. Goldman, M.D.

Dear Marilyn,
I was saddened to learn of the loss of your father through an e-mail I just received from our 1965 class "representative", Phyllis. What a full and inspiring life of service he led. Though we have not seen each other since graduation in 1965 (has it really been 45 years?!), I still have fond memories of you and your brother, Stan. I did not realize that Stan passed away in 2004 until I read this online obituary. I always admired Stan’s grit and determination and am sorry that you had to deal with his passing as well.In case you wonder who is writing, I was Ann Stanley, married since 1972 to Ray A.Snyder and living in Spring Grove Pa.. We’ve raised two sons, one of whom lives in San Francisco and one closer in Hanover Pa.. Again, my condolences for your loss,
Ann Stanley Snyder
