Dear Arlene, I am so sorry to hear about Leo’s death.. I was just remembering some of the fun times I had in his company and felt I should drop a line to express my sympathy. Dottie and I have a manhattan every evening and I will raise my glass and toast to Leo’s life this afternoon.

Dear Mrs. Schneider, Jane, Susan, Anthony and Joanne,
I am so sorry for your loss! Mr. Schneider was someone I looked up to and respected as I was growing up. Don’t know if you remember me but Jane and I were best friends from the late 1950s until you moved away from Farmdale in 1972. I was in Columbia this week, sitting with my own dying mother when I read his obituary in the local paper. Mother passed away on Wednesday morning and I take comfort in knowing that Mr. Schneider was among the many who were on the welcoming line when she entered heaven. You are all in my thoughts and my prayers.
Sincerely,
Jeanne (Helm) Farrell
