Lee E. Feldman, 59

Lee Ellis Feldman, 59, of East Petersburg, succumbed to pancreatic cancer on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at ManorCare Health Services in Dallastown, PA. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late David M. and Frances Imovitz Feldman.

He graduated from Neshaminy High School in Langhorne in 1971. Lee met his wife Donna Shaub Feldman at West Chester State College and was married to her for 34 years before she died in 2010. They have two children: Shona Pascarello, wife of Eric and Sean Feldman, husband of Samantha, and 6 grandchildren: Jazlynn, Skylar, Riley, Bryson, Lillian and Jackson. Lee is also survived by his sister Marlene Smith, wife of David.

After settling in East Petersburg, Lee became active with several organizations in the community. He volunteered as a fire policeman with the East Petersburg Fire Company, a member of East Petersburg Lions Club and served as entertainment chairman of East Petersburg Day. Lee was of the Bahá’í Faith. He drove school bus for Brightbill Transportation in the Conestoga Valley School District for 12 years.

A musician, he played guitar and bass and sang since age 11. In October, following a dream he had about giving away his guitar, Lee travelled to Hershey’s Giant Center and presented his custom-made guitar to country music superstar Brad Paisley before Brad’s concert. Brad’s gratitude for the gift made a lasting impression on Lee

Visitation will be 1-2PM Monday, December 3, 2012, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, Lititz, PA, followed by Graveside Services in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery. Deepest condolences to the Feldman family on the passing of Lee. Joe Lyons 3rd

My deepest condolences to Lee’s family.

I met Lee, at a party we both attended, when we were both just 15 years old. He was a joy then, sweet and funny and entertaining. And when I reconnected with Lee, after many many years, on Facebook, he was still a joy, sweet, funny and entertaining.  I will miss our long text chats and emails on the mysteries of life and the hereafter.

I hope he’s over on "the other side", feeling love and peace… strumming his heavenly guitar for all his old friends and loved ones, who passed before him, that have been waiting for him to arrive…

Sincerely,
An Bacheler

I am a school bus driver who worked with Lee both at Manheim Twp and at CV. He took over my small bus #39 and I used to call him to ask how he was getting along with the kids.  I liked Lee very much.  He was always talking about how he was going to Florida.

My regards and sorrow to his family.
Margo Sue Metzger, Bus #17

My deepest condolences to Lee’s family and friends. Although I can not attend the funeral, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Dave Weinreb

My thoughts and prayers are with Lee’s family this day.  His love of music did not waiver even up till his death, an inspiration to all fellow musicians. I am grateful for having known him, and dedicated my own performance at church this Sunday to Lee’s memory.

with sadness and respect,
Dave Pushic, DP Custom Guitars

My sincere condolences to all of Lee’s friends and family.  It was heartwarming to see him on TV near the end with Brad Paisley. Lee seemed so happy to fulfill that last item on his bucket list.  Rest in peace, Lee. -Mitch Levine

Thoughts and prayers are with you on this day,.  I did not know Lee personally but he was an inspiration to us all.  May you find comfort in knowing he is at home with his friends and his music.

IF TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME

If tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things, we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me, As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready, and that I’d have to leave behind;
All those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye for all my life, I’d always thought,
I didn’t want to die.
I had so much to live for, so much left yet to do.
It seemed almost impossible,
That I! Was leaving you. I thought of all the yesterdays,
the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday, just even for a while,
I’d say good-bye and kiss you and maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized, that this could never be,
For emptiness and memories, would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven’s gates, I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me, From His great golden throne,
He said, "This is eternity, and all I’ve promised you."
Today your life on earth is past, but here life starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last,
And since each day’s the same way, there’s no longing for the past.
You have been so faithful, so trusting and so true!
Though there were times you did some things, you knew you shouldn’t do.
But you have been forgiven, and now at last you’re free.
So won’t you come and take my hand, and share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart,
For every time you think of me, I’m right here, in your heart

My deepest sympathies to you during this time of sorrow. It is a cliche, but time does help to separate the pain of loss from the meories you have, so please be sure to share the memories and keep each other close. God bless.

A summer sun was setting over a barn and paddock in the early 70’s, and Lee took his guitar out of that squeaky Dodge Dart parked over by the fence. As the dusk deepened we sang, laughed, listened; Lee played favorites and requests. After 40 years I can’t picture most of the many faces nor recall why we all gathered there outside the farmhouse, but that twilight still warmly glows in memory.

Please accept my deepest condolences during this very difficult time.
