My name is Wendy Roeser.  My daughter, Brittany Broomell and Ben were great friends when we used to live in Oak Ridge Commons.  There were many a weekend when Ben would come up to our development and he, Britt, and their friend CJ Hess would ride bikes, and yes, break into the very old house and church that used to stand at the beginning of our development!  (Now there are shops there).  I used to feed Ben my meatball sandwiches and steak sandwiches or any of our food we’d cook on a Sunday!  He was ALWAYS a joy to have around and made me laugh!  In addition, he was always mannerly and would do anything for me!  When we moved away, we all lost touch.  However, we are great friends with Lloyd Sauder, his cousin, whom I also love dearly!  My heart goes out to Ben’s entire family.  I could never truly understand the heartache you must be feeling, but know you’re all in my prayers!  I always adored Ben, and he will be forever in my memory!

With Deep Sadness,
Wendy & Stan Roeser & Brittany

We as individuals all search for something that sets us apart for our special gift that lets us leave our mark our contribution our resolution be it a song we wrote or maybe a book a bridge or a skyscraper that we built something that says we were here possibly we leave our mark in the heart of the old lady who we helped to cross the street (which he did for me and a smile from ear to ear) or the child we teach to read or the homeless we give shelter or the starving people who we feed possibly its just being there in their time of need a sympathetic shoulder to cry on just being that someone they can rely on a helping hand a smile a kind word encouraging all the lost souls giving them hope to reach for their goals letting them never lose sight of their hopes and their dreams letting them know that they are all special that they all have the right to be free and succeed.
I didn’t know Ben for a very long ….But I did see him in some of the things in above statement.  He had a heart of gold and a smile that lit up your day.  May you rest in peace my young friend. Some day well meet again and I well know that it is you by your smile.

 I’m Brandon Brooks Grandmother
