Jon Vincent Lehman, 70

Jon Vincent Lehman, 70, of Lancaster passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Coatesville VA Hospital Hospice Unit. Born in Harrisburg, PA he was the son of the late Ralph Emanuel and Eleanor Elizabeth (Wilson) Lehman. He was married to Deirdre (Taylor) Lehman for over 29 years.
Jon worked at the Harrisburg International Airport for over 35 years serving as a firefighter and airfield maintenance supervisor.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy in Newfoundland during the Vietnam War era.
Jon and his wife enjoyed traveling to Central America, the Caribbean and Europe. He started skiing in his 50’s taking many trips with his wife throughout Italy, Switzerland, Austria and also in the eastern and western U.S. He also enjoyed showing his dogs, and earlier in life enjoyed racing sports cars, participating in road races at such tracks as Watkins Glen, and at various hill climbs.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Jill Nelson, wife of Paul, of Shiremanstown, PA, and Jennie Middlekauff, wife of Troy, of Mechanicsburg, PA. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Jace, Tyler, Emily; a brother, Todd W. Lehman, of New York City and a sister, Louise Hesse, wife of Cyril, of Harrisburg, PA.
Private Graveside Services will be held in Historic Doylestown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jon’s memory may be made to Donate Life America, 701 E.
