John N. Flouras, 88

John N. Flouras, 88, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.

He was the husband of Artemis Samaras Flouras, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage this past June 6th. Born in Chios, Greece, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Kalliope Niktas Flouras.

John had worked at the Red Rose Restaurant on E. King St in Lancaster city for 40 years, being the owner of this family business from 1970 to 1993.

He was a dedicated member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where he had been a member of the  St. George Sikousis Society.

John enjoyed meeting his friends at Park City where they would walk together.

In addition to his wife, Artemis, John is survived by his children: Dr. Kathy K. Flouras of Richmond VA, and his son, Nicholas J. married to Kay Flouras of North Augusta, SC, and by his granddaughters: Artie Flouras married to Brian Wright, Katelyn and Anna Flouras. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Plumu Flouras and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his siblings: Steve Flouras, Lemonia Agouridis, Fotini Bougiamas, Helen Mountis, Constantine Flouras, and Angeliki Pouleros.

Friends will be received on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 9:30-10:30AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603, with the Funeral Service to follow at 10:30AM. Interment in Lancaster Cemetery.
