John H. Snyder, 56

John H. Snyder, 56, of Manheim, passed away, following a long illness, on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster, Mt. Joy. Born in Columbus, OH., he was the son of the late Esther (Mast) and Raymond H. Snyder.

Until 2008, John was employed by ELA as the Information Technology Supervisor. He enjoyed online Photoshopping and won international contests with his work. He flew hot air balloons and was part of a team that traveled to the Calgary Olympics to promote the sport. John also liked to ride his Harley with his life-long friends.

John is survived by 2 sisters; Maryanne Schwartz wife of Bob of Manheim, and Kathryn Sams of Manheim, with whom he resided. 2 brothers; Thomas Snyder husband of Sue of Elizabethtown, and J. Mark Snyder husband of Pam of Neffsville. 2 nieces; Molly and Jane. And 2 nephews; Rob and Tom.

John’s celebration of life service will be at a later date to be determined.

We at ELA Group, Inc. are so sorry to hear of the passing of John.  We all can’t begin to express our sympathy to you and your family.  It has been a shock to learn of how quickly he left us, but we are comforted knowing that he is no longer in any pain.

I can’t even begin to express my sorrow at learning of Johns passing.  He will be greatly missed while at the same time forever remembered.  I and the members of my family extend our heartfelt condolences to Johns family. The time he spent with us here at Lakeside was a blessing, and the good times and laughter we shared will always be cherished.  May he rest in peace.
