December 18, 2014

John H. “Jack” Hiemenz, III, of Lancaster and formerly of Ocean City, MD died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy following a brief illness.

Born in Lancaster, he was the husband of Josephine “Jo” Hiemenz of Lancaster, and the son of the late John H., Jr and Mary W. (Bennawit) Hiemenz.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and Penn State Football fan. He and his wife Jo shared a love of travel and cruise ships.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by two sons: Eric M. and his wife Leasa Dunham-Hiemenz of Treasure Island, FL and Mark L. Hiemenz and his fiancee Dawn Hodge of Ocean City, MD; 2 brothers: Dr. Donald Hiemenz of Stroudsburg and Terrence Hiemenz of Grand Island, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
