Janice E. Fink, 96
November 22, 2016
Ninety-six years ago, a cheerful Janice Miller was born into our world. She had joy and warmth, and an optimistic spirit that was eager to explore.
At 19 she married Harold Smallwood and had a son James Donald Smallwood. They had wonderful adventures. Janice worked; she had to keep herself moving. She always looked forward to tomorrow.
Janice loved her home at Caledonia with her many golfing, weekend parties and theater at the Totem Pole during the summers. Winters were in Bonita Springs with more good friends. She loved it all!
Janice concluded her ninety-six years November 22, 2016. She is celebrated by her loving family, her son, her daughter-in-law, her three grandsons and two great grandchildren. She is missed by all her friends all over the country. Janice loved life, her husbands, her son, travel, dancing, dining and so much more.

Janice was a neighbor at Caledonia for at least 60 years; we loved golfing with her, and visiting on walks around the course. Her upbeat persoality warmed everyone, always a smile and happy thoughts. She will truly be missed around the mountains that she loved so much. She will always be a mentor to me, treat everyone with love. Carol (Leatherman) amd Bob Sieck

Jan will be remembered by me as a Beautiful Lady with a Blessed Life. Tom and I were always greeted with her “special smile” and twinkling eyes — a lady ready to go, whether in Gettysburg (from her wonderful log cabin home) or in Florida – on the golf course, out to lunch/dinner, or heading to sea on a cruise. Her life was active – and she welcomed so many into it. Knowing Jan over the past twenty-some years holds so many loving memories for me. Love you Jan! Gina Arnold
