J. Harold Musser, 88

J. Harold Musser, 88, of Brethren Village, formerly of Mount Joy, passed away on July 31, 2016. He was the husband of Jean (Kreider) Musser with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. Born in Mount Joy, PA, he was the son of the late Lloyd B. and Edith (Ginder) Musser.
Harold was self-employed as a farmer his entire life and also owned M & R Grains in Mount Joy. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, & trips to Wyoming. Harold had cabins in Potter & Juniata Counties where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a hard working farmer, but enjoyed time with the grandchildren whenever possible.
Harold was a member of Hempfield Church of the Brethren and served there as a Trustee, head usher, and cemetery volunteer.
In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by his three sons; James L. Musser husband of Sue (Ulmer) of Mount Joy, Jeffrey L. Musser husband of Pamela (Wolf) of Akron, and Randall S. Musser, of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchildren: Matthew & Brooke Musser, Brett & Megan Musser, Dustin Musser, Cody, Musser, Samantha Musser, Ryan Cochran, & Shane Cochran; along with four great grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by brothers Richard Musser and Marlin Musser, and a sister, Marian Hockenberry.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on August 6, 2016 at 11AM at Hempfield Church of the Brethren with Pastors Ralph Moyer and Pete Contra officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 10AM-11AM. Private interment will be in Salunga Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Harold’s memory to Hempfield Church of the Brethren c/o Benevolent Fund 1186 Stevens St., Manheim, PA 17545.
