J. Charles “Charlie” West, 2

J. Charles “Charlie” West, 2, of Denver, PA passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at Hershey Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Born in Lancaster, Charlie was the son of Katie Marie (Martin) West and the late Joshua A. West.

Charlie was of the Catholic faith. He had a charming smile and loved Elmo.

In addition to his mother, Charlie is survived by his brothers and sisters, Jordon (18), Cecilia (18), Aaron (16), Jade (14), Jenna (10), and Jocelyn (4), maternal grandparents, Robert and Kathleen Martin of Lititz, maternal great-grandmother, Joan DeRose of Millersville, paternal grandparents, Rev. Toni S. and Larry Ruhl of Landisville, and Dale A. West of Tampa, FL.  Charlie also enjoyed spending time and playing with his many aunts, uncles and cousins in his life.

Mass of the Angels will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601 with Rev. Msgr. Richard Youtz and Rev. Allan Wolfe as Celebrants.  A visitation will be held from 9-11AM at the church.  Private interment will take place in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charlie’s memory may be made to the Jocelyn West College Fund c/o Shawn Martin, P.O. Box 181 Kennett Square, PA 19348. Katie, Jocelyn and family…
I just heard about the sudden loss of your sweet boy. I am so very sorry for your pain and sadness during this time. We certainly loved having Charlie and Jocelyn at Chesterbrook and were sad you had to go. If there is anything at all we can do please let me know.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Charlie is certainly etched in fond memories of the time he spent at Chesterbrook academy on Estelle Drive.I remember how adorable he was and how much fun he had playing with his little friends.
