I knew Mrs. Bowermaster when I worked with her in the McCaskey library 10, 11, & 12th grades, I will always remember her, she even contacted me when her was ill, she wanted me to do yard work for them, she picked me up at my house, fed me lunch, paid then drove me home, I still have the personalized note she mailed to my house to ask me if I would help her, of course I said yes, she was a very special lady, I have a lot of memories of her and I when working in the library, I was always able to get out of all my study halls to work in the library.

My name is Carolyn (Hoopengarner) Kauffman. I graduated from McCaskey in 1981. During my sophmore and senior years I had the pleasure of working in the library with Mrs. Bowermaster. She taught me a lot about the library and all that it entailed to be a library aide and if it wasn’t for her giving me the chance to earn extra credits by working with her, I may not have graduated. So I will be ever grateful to her and how she showed her appreciation by awarding me with a pin with my initials that I still have to this day. I’m sorry to hear of her passing but I will never forget how she took me under her wings. R.I.P MRS. Bowermaster. Peace be with the family at thid difficult time.
