I was saddened to hear of Mr. Givler’s death. Mr. Givler was my voc-ag teacher at Pequea Valley High School. Mr Givler was one of the best teachers I had in high school and I consider myself fortunate to have been one of his pupils.

Dear Barbara and Family

It was with deep regret I read of Henry`s death in tonight`s paper.I know he will be sadly missed.

Henry and I were in the same class at Quarryville High School and we rode to and from school with Hiram Troop. There were always six or seven in the car and there was always an arguement who was going to sit in the front seat becauce some of the floor boads were missing and you had to be careful where you put your feet.

Again may I express to you my sympathy and and the hope the kind words of your many friends will make your grief just a little easier to bear.

Sincerely

Helen Armer Farmer

Sharon and members of the Givler Family:

You are in our thoughts and prayers. Specifically, I’ve prayed that this time of transition might be rich and meaningful, allowing for deep reflection as well as celebration of a life well lived.

Grace and peace to you!

Dear Pam and Dick,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We appreciated your recent prayers for us at the loss of Karen’s mother. We had remarked to you about how Karen’s Mom joined a great "2007 Freshman Class in Heaven". Now we see Henry is part of a new class of Heaven’s Freshman for 2008! Don’s recollection of your father, Pam, was that he was one of 3 very strong leaders that VO-AG teachers looked up to for guidance. Those 3 were: Your Dad, Harvey Smith and Charles Lebo who have all "graduated" within the past 12 months. May God comfort you in your loss, as only He can.

Love and Prayers,

Don and Karen McNutt

Sharon,

I was sorry to hear about your father. Though you will miss him, it sounds as if he’s in a wonderful place, and that you have many good memories to comfort you. It’s also nice that much of your family lives in the area, so that you be of support to each other at this time.

I live at "the Buck", near Quarryville, so it was interesting to see that he graduated from Quarryville High School (as opposed to the current Solanco High School).

Marie Riegle-Kinch, Adjunct Assistant Art Professor, LVC

Thank you for sharing Henry with the Agriculture Education family. He will be sincerely missed by those of us who saw Henry as our mentor. As a young Agriculture teacher in Lanaster County, Henry took me "under his wing" as I started my career. His advice, wisdom and encouragement to myself and countless other teachers helped us keep things in proper perspective. Henry had the ability to take difficult concepts and requests from the Department of Education and make them sound doable.

I have always appreciated his willingness to sit and listen, not just about business, but how the family was doing. He took a genuine interest in people’s life.

I feel priviledged to have known and worked with Henry. He has enriched my life and I know the lives of many others. Blessings to the Givler family.

My prayers and thoughts go out to ya’ll. I’m very sorry for your loss.

Love,

Ryan Crider

Henry continues to do God’s work in heaven. Henry was a gentle man to all. He was a friend to me, when I came to E-town. A strong supporter of the FFA, we worked together on a number of projects while I was State FFA Executive Secretary. The only heated discussion that we had during the 80’s was whether CV or E-town would have the better football team.

Now Charlie, Harvey and Henry can have a "meeting" in heaven.

With Memory,

William & Elaine Erikson

I am sorry for your loss. I know Earl is rejoicing with all the family and friends who have gone on before him. My Prayers are with you all at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
