Helen M. Kaminski, 87

Helen M. Kaminski, 87, of East Lampeter, Lancaster, PA passed away on September 18, 2014. Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Generoso and Rosaria DiMarco Gaspari.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward Kaminski, in 2012.

Helen was a graduate of Scott High School and began her career as a secretary at the VA Hospital in Coatesville. After staying at home for many years to raise her children, she returned to work at the PA Bureau of Employment Security until her retirement in 1987.

She was a devout member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lancaster.

Helen is survived by daughter Rosette Wills of Potomac Falls, VA; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Joseph Campbell of Raleigh, NC; son Edward Kaminski of Lancaster; eight grandchildren: Portman Wills, Jonathan Wills, Julian Wills, Bennett Campbell, Colin Campbell, Madeleine Campbell, Zoe Kaminski and Riley Kaminski; and four great-grandchildren: Harper, Roman, Ada and Patton Wills. She is also survived by her sister, Elsie Turczyn, and her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Birgitta Gaspari. She was predeceased by four siblings.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. A visitation will precede the mass from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Coatesville. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen’s memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125, or to the charity of one’s choice.
